Namaste!

Trust you are all well. The Forsythia are in bloom, which means Spring has arrived! Hope this newsletter will entice you to renew your Yoga practice, and to take advantage of this unique time in your life to include Yogic breathing, asanas, relaxation and meditation to smooth life’s ups and downs, and to prepare your mind and body for the slings and arrows of daily living.

My news is that I will be the Yoga Teacher for the National Organization For Women (NOW) Conference, July 18-20, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, Md. This will be my fifth year offering Yoga to Feminists!

The other news is that I will be giving a Yoga Workshop Fund-Raiser for our Mid-Suffolk NOW chapter at The Neighborhood House, Setauket, Long Island on SATURDAY, MAY 10th from 10 am to 2:00 pm – Donation: $35. Funds will be used to sponsor, all expenses paid, a college student to attend the National NOW Conference, as our chapter’s delegate to the Young Feminist Initiative program. Please promote this fund-raiser to your family and friends! We have a good time – this is our third such event – you will get two hours of Yoga class, including breathing, Yoga postures, Relaxation and Meditation. Also, a Big Raffle of Yoga items, as well as great prizes, plus a Free Take-Away Table, with good items you can just take home with you. Also a 50/50 split, which is always fun – somebody’s gotta win! We also enjoy networking with other Yoginis while munching on fresh, healthy, crunchy goodies brought by chapter Board members. The next day is Sunday, Mother’s Day – this Yoga Workshop would be a great gift for your Mom or your Grandmother!

Also – most important, if you know someone who would like to apply for an internship with our chapter and be our delegate to the NOW Conference, all expenses paid, (for instance, someone who may be taking Women’s Studies in College), encourage them to get in touch with me, grac...@gracewelch.com, or phone 631-234-4747.
