KEEPING YOUR MIND FIT AS YOU AGE:
“While many people will suffer from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease as they age, these conditions are NOT inevitable, even in those who have a genetic predisposition. Many experts believe you can prevent or at least delay cognitive decline by keeping your mind fit over the years. Here is a way that may help prevent the mental decline that some people experience in their senior years:
· Get Regular Exercise: Physical exercise has been linked to brain health, and higher exercise levels, compared with lower levels, are believed to help reduce the risk of dementia. The type of exercise is up to you, but most experts recommend that you try to get 20-30 minutes of moderate activity on a daily basis.”
