Two of my Yoga Students have published books! KARYN O’BIERNE wrote “Findings From The Hunting Party’s Scout” (Rainbow Books, Inc.) Karyn tells of her journey to spiritual awakening. She is a worship leader and treasurer for the Long Island Area Council for Unitarian Universalist congregations. Visit her website: www.Karyn.info

DIANA DANTUONO studied with me in Islandia, and asked if I thought she could become a Yoga teacher, as she was legally blind, but loved doing Yoga and wanted to share it with others. I said Yes, she could. Diana studied with Marianne Mitsinikos and Mokshapriya Shakti at Yoga Teacher Training Institute on L.I., becoming certified. She teaches at Pilgrim State Educational Dept. and other locations on L.I. Her instructional book is titled “It’s Time For Yoga, Roll Out The Mat: Experience a Yoga Class” published by LegworkTeam.com. She invites you to visit her website: www.itstimeforyoga.com
Special Note: A portion of book sales will be donated to Vitamin A Deficient Childhood Blindness.

Grace Welch featured as Yoga Teacher at National Organization For Women, Bethesda, Maryland National Conference

This will be my fifth year – July 18-20 – Feminists from all over the country/world will attend – Conference theme is Global Feminism.

The May 10 Yoga Workshop Fund Raiser held by the Mid-Suffolk NOW chapter at The Neighborhood House, Setauket, was a financial success, thanks to all our supporters. Juliet Gobler is the lucky intern who will be our representative this year. We will continue this fund raiser workshop next Spring, and hope all readers of this newsletter will support the effort to sponsor a Women’s Studies College Student to the next National NOW Conference. Stay tuned!
