Ancient Remedy for Modern Stress
WELCOME TO AUTUMN!
Hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and that you are now ready to embark on a new stage in your life – incorporating the practice of YOGA and MEDITATION. Surely by now you have read about the stars of stage and screen practicing Yoga and Meditation, finding that it not only improves their physical and mental health, but that it also increases their creative ability! To experience life in an effortless manner most people do not enjoy; however, Yogis do.
I invite you to join one of my Yoga classes in the following schedule – if you don’t see a time slot that works for you, tell me what day and time would be more convenient, and I/we will see if we can gather others to make a class.
In my classes you will learn how to breathe properly (Yogic breathing); cleansing of your lungs; asanas (postures) to strengthen and relax your muscles; stretch your spine to improve your posture; clear your mind of anxiety and stress with proper meditation.
MONDAYS – 12: NOON TO 1:30 – RESTORATIVE YOGA – easy Yoga for those who are in a post-operative state; have ongoing-chronic conditions, such as fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease; problem knees; arthritic spine; generally out of shape.
MONDAYS – 7:00 pm TO 8:30 –OPEN - BEGINNER class.
WEDNESDAYS – 8:00 am TO 9:30 am – OPEN - BEGINNER
WEDNESDAYS – 7:00 PM TO 8:30 PM – OPEN – BEGINNER
Private Class in my Islandia studio – by appointment. Or in your home.
In preparation for class, I suggest you order from Amazon “The Sivananda Companion Handbook to Yoga” by Sw. Vishnu Devananda – a beautifully illustrated book covering all aspects of Yoga philosophy, breathing, Kriya (cleansing practices); postures, Yoga for children, for seniors, which will serve you well for the rest of your life.
